Our mission is to provide affordable, all-inclusive housing environments that cater to the unique needs of individuals diagnosed with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and other behavioral health-related issues.

We are proud to be a leading Intellectual Disabilities housing organization in our local area, offering group homes and residential care homes that are designed to provide a caring, compassionate, and supportive environment for our clients.

Our journey began from a place of advocacy and understanding the need for affordable housing, healthcare, mental health, financial education, self-sufficiency, essential human rights, and social services. We saw the need for special needs housing, for programs like prison re-entry, youth aging out of foster care, senior care, and independent living.

Background in Industry

Our founder, a mother, volunteer lobbyist, military brat, spiritual advisor, and keynote speaker, has a diverse and rich background. She has served as a correctional officer and foster parent, raising a multicultural, multiracial family, and firmly believes in the commonalities that bind us together as humans.

Her life took a dramatic turn when she suffered a disabling on-the-job injury, resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Doctors predicted a grim future, but she defied all odds. She had to relearn basic skills, and her recovery journey was nothing short of miraculous. This experience ignited a passion in her to help others, leading to the establishment of the first therapeutic foster home for youth and families with special needs and medically fragile children.

Her commitment to making a difference didn’t stop there. She co-wrote the SB-5321 /SHB-3115 bill with Republican Senator Mike Carrell and others, leading to significant changes in Child Protective Services across the nation. This achievement disrupted a broken system, creating a ripple effect of positive change for children and families.

While caring for her elderly mother, she witnessed the challenges and inequities faced by our elders, particularly in healthcare. She saw the need for improved communication among healthcare providers and better-coordinated care. This experience further highlighted the importance of supportive and special needs housing, especially for groups like prison re-entrants, youth aging out of foster care, and those seeking independent living.

With over 15 years of experience working with City and State Governments, Non-profit organizations, and Churches, our founder has focused on social justice, equity, inclusion, and human services. She has worked directly with diverse cultures and disenfranchised communities, always striving to make a difference.

At CLW HOMES LLC, we carry forward this legacy of resilience, compassion, and commitment to service. We understand the complexities of the systems we navigate and are dedicated to providing supportive housing solutions that meet the unique needs of those we serve. We invite you to join us on this journey of change and healing.
